Cercis 'Judas Tree' is one of the most hardy Redbuds on the market, tolerating full shade as well as the heat of summer. This gorgeous shade tree blooms pink blossoms in the early spring on its bare branches, turning vibrant green with the signature heart-shaped foliage in summer. Common Mint, All types of mint are vigorous, fast growing, spreading perennials. You need to plant them where they have room to spread or plant them in pots. Mint plants send out runners just above and below the ground level, quickly forming large lush green patches. Planted in the right spot they make fantastic ground covers. And can be used in cooking, as a garnish, or in a sauce to accompany the dish. Mint was originally used as a medicinal herb to treat stomach aches and chest pains. In Ancient Rome, students were encouraged to wear wreaths of mint to "exhilarate the mind", And in medieval times, mint leaves were ground into powder and used to whiten teeth. Mint is also known to be used to treat insect bites.

Plectranthus caninus

Dogbane is a perennial herb from the mint family, which grows to about 15cm high, 30cm when in flower. When crushed, leaves have a very strong aroma, however dogs and cats are said to be able to smell the aroma from intact leaves and be repelled from the plant. This herb is also know as "scaredy cat plant". This plant prefers full sun to part shade, but may need more shade in very hot areas. If there is too much shade the plant becomes "leggy" with less foliage. It's frost tender so it needs a warm protected position to protect it from frost and hot sun, it's not suited to open conditions. Water young plants regularly, and once established older plants will tolerate short dry periods. It flowers in spring and summer. And this plant is also recommended for use as an insect repellent.

Borago officinalis Borage is an old, ancient herb, leading back to Roman times used as a culinary and medicinal herb. It is said that borage brings happiness to the heart, with it's cheerful flowers. It may be made into syrup or tea or flowers are a beautiful garnish or addition to salads. 4"/10cm pot
