| Description | Ficus microcarpa hillii 'Emerald'
Ficus 'Emerald' has a glossier and deeper, emerald green foliage compared with that of the 'Flash' and 'Hill's Weeping' ficus. This rich green foliage matches well with Buxus English Box, particularly in a formal setting.
'Emerald' ficus are quite tolerant of poor soil conditions and hot or windy weather conditions, growing well in both full sun to part shade positions. It does not, however, like the touch of frost.

• Can be trained to climb along a fence, trellis, arbour or archways.
• Prefers a full sun position in moist, well-drained soil

Beeches are large, long-lived deciduous trees native to England and Europe. They are great, low-maintenance big, elegant trees. Beeches bear fresh green foliage that changes to rich golden color in Autumn, with smooth grey bark. The bark is a favorite for name carving and many of the Beech trees you’ve seen probably have young lovers’ names etched into them for eternity (or the life of the tree).
A Beech tree can grow to quite some size, reaching heights of up to 40 meters, and is a great lawn specimen and shade tree for this reason. Also popular for hedging, screening or pleaching – the tallest and longest hedge in the world is made of Beech. Also tolerates poor or sandy soils, but doesn’t like waterlogged areas. | Salvia nemorosa
Will benefit from pruning and deadheading after flowering season. Plant in full sun with well-drained soil. May require extra watering over long, hot, dry summers.
- Attracts Birds, Bees and Butterflies
- Fragrant
- Drought tolerant

See our Salvia Factsheet here for more about the different Salvia varieties! | Pinus mugo Aurea
An unusual form of Dwarf Mountain Pine, the 'Amber Gold' Mugo Pine turns from a green in the summer months to a luminescent gold in the winter. This compact, slow growing pine makes for a perfect low maintenance hedge. Due to its stunning foliage colour, it makes a wonderful winter colour feature plant that can be kept in either pots and containers or directly in the garden.
Pinus 'Amber Gold' tolerates most soils, providing they drain well and prefers a full sun position. |
