| Description | Senecio macroglossus variegatus, Creeping Jade, Climbing Jade
The cool indoor plant you didn’t know about! A twisty, trailing vine with pretty purple stems and glossy dark green foliage with cream-coloured variegation around the edges and along the veins. Single, yellow, daisy-like flower heads are borne in summer. An awesome climber, but also looks great in hanging baskets.
They like full sun to filtered bright sunlight. Try to avoid afternoon sun. Variegated ivy will do best on a window sill.
Please call to confirm availability (03) 9359 3331 or place your order before attending the nursery to avoid disappointment.
6" pot size, approximately 15cm in height. | Polygala myrtifolia x dalmaisiana
Polygala Dazzler is a shrub that originates from South Africa and has attractive, almost year round, purple pea-like flowers on light green foliage. It makes a great flowering hedge.
Polygala Dazzler prefers a well-drained position, but tolerates poor soils, frost and dry conditions. Pruning in early Spring will encourage bushiness and flowers. Best feed regularly with a slow release fertiliser.
10" pot size. | Lavandula angustifolia
Traditionally English Lavender was grown for its heavenly fragrance, used in oils and potpourri.
• Small, slender blue-ish purple flowers on tall stems above the foliage
• Grown in pots, as a hedge or in the cottage garden to attract bees and butterflies
• Tolerates drought and dry conditions, preferring well drained soils
6"/14cm pot | Archontophoenix cunninghamiana
Bangalow Palms are native to Australia and are often used as indoor plants here down South. To grow into a very large tree they would probably require warmer climates than Melbourne, but as a small or medium size tree they look lovely anyway.
Use Bangalow Palms as a clumped indoor plant or in a sheltered spot outdoors to add a tropical feel to the garden. |
