Chaenomeles speciosa

Chaenomeles ‘Salmon Pink’, also known as Flowering Quince is a hardy deciduous shrub that delights with masses of soft salmon-pink blossoms in late winter and spring, brightening up bare garden spaces before many other plants awaken. Its thorny branches make it an excellent choice for hedging, while the flowers are followed by small, aromatic fruits that can be used in jams and jellies.
