Description

Acer saccharinum

Also known as Silverleaf Japanese maple, is a fast growing deciduous tree that is one of the most common in North America. It is a tall, broad crowned tree that will develop multiple trunks and is also low branching. The cane-like branches damage easily but grow back quickly. The foliage is graceful and delicate being palmately lobed and veined. In autumn it makes a splendid display as the green foliage turns to a spectacular burnished gold colour. 8''/20cm pot Available online only, not in store
Cercis canadensis 'Merlot' With stunning, deep rich purple foliage in the summer the 'Merlot' Redbud makes for a stunning feature tree in the garden. In the spring, lavender pink blooms cover the bare branches and in the autumn the leaves turn vibrant oranges and yellows before falling. The 'Merlot' Redbud is perfect for small backyards. 20"/50cm pot See our Cercis Factsheet here for more about the different Cercis varieties!
